 Morning light coming in the kitchen window with the cup on top of the espresso machine.

Dang! There's a cat hair right in the middle of it! Oh. Wait. That's on my screen. Never mind. Carry on.

P.S. Someday I will learn to do a decent set up shot. It's a goal. I'll keep working on it.

Love the colours and the composition - but you can't call it 'First Espresso of the Day' and not produce an espresso to look at ! D'oh !

composition is very good and so is exposure and lighting. If only the cup had been full, with a nice creamy swirl or at least some bubbles... could have been a top scorer.

Whoah. I think that's the biggest differential I've seen between avg. vote and vote from commenters. I think I'd like this better if it were cropped to cut the white cup in half, emphasizing the nice curves on the cup and plate.

Love the grittiness at the bottom of the mug. Contrasts quite nicely with the little umbrella plate.
