I like this - the two leaves intimately connected, banding together in the face of the wide open world. I do though, feel that the water surface seems a little flat (yes, I know water surfaces generally are flat...), sort of like there is just a very thin film of water on a smooth black surface - hard to articulate, perhaps I should leave it as something doesn't quite connect with me in regards to the water surface. Ah, now then, I have just tilted my (work) screen towards me and see that there is more detail there than I thought... much better!
edit: Just seen this is yours Deb. I really, really like the outtake!

Very pretty, Deb. I like the detail of the lake bottom up top and the color in the leaves. |

I liked this during voting. I was wondering where on earth is it autumn? Love the colour of the leaves. I would flip it horizontally.
Funny how we feel we have to tell others that we didn't add the drops. I did the same on this shot I took last week for the Flowers side challenge. [thumb]708547[/thumb] |

H...
for heh...
I love how it looks like the leaves are barely kissing the water, hardly breaking the surface. I love how the golden color really stands apart from the background. Heh - congrats on beating your average! |

A bit too much blank space at the top... |

Lovely colours. I like the portrait orientation and the use of the surface of the water as negative space. |
