Visually i think it looks like animation. You creativeness in achieving the resulting image is quite wonderful.
It is sometimes tough for me to simplify things and just use what is around me, rather than thinking what i need to capture is out in the world. For that the ribon is well deserved. |

it's a nice photo, but a disappointing commentary on this site when you say "...I don't personally like the picture very much and find it creatively non-rewarding." i find that many of the photos on here fill that niche, and the photos that are creatively compelling are often not those that score well. (that's not to say i don't like 90% of the ribboning photos; i'm just saying in general, most people need to shoot differently for ribbon purposes than they would for purely aesthetic goals. sad.)
excellent photo, though. i find it not only technically sound, but visually pleasing. you sell yourself short, i think. |

I like the creative set-up here, definitely making use of scarce and simple materials (hacking the shot) to create something good.

| You might not think this is a very creative photo, but I think it's actually quite inspiring. I racked my brain trying to come up with an elaborate idea for this shoot, and in the end shot nothing, whereas you went with something and returned a beautiful photo. That takes a lot of creativity. Well done on the ribbon. |

I know how you got clear ice, but what the heck is the background? I actually thought it was bare skin? A leg or??

| First look is amazing, however scrolling down to see the whole image disappoints viewer with the cropped bottom. The drink's shadow went nowhere due to the crop. However lighting is superb and i give an extra point for that as well as to the overall concept. |

| Great tones, colors nice and smooth. I predict at least a top 10 for this. I do see some visible JPEG compression artifacts, however. With a file size of 115k, you still had a little headroom for a lower compression factor. |
