 Ingredients:Chocolate buttons,fresh srawberries,pink and white marshmallows.
Method: 1)Slowly melt chocolate buttond in fondue dish over
tea-light candle.
2)Spear strawberry or marshmallow with fondue fork.
3)Dip said food item into melted chocolate.
4)Try to stay calm as you raise chocolate coated t treat to your mouth.
5)Close your eyes and groan in a satisfied manner as y you eat!

Nice image, to my eye it is too white, the strawberries color is great, but the background, cup and marshmallows in white overwhelm me.

This comp is interesting in so many ways. It's very strong visually. It's well framed. The lighting and exposure are spot on. The details of the side of the dish are subtle, but add real depth to the image. The tones in this comp are fantastic. Love the dual toned marshmallows. Great subject matter. Awesome DOF. The only things I really don't favor (and they're minor) are the border, and the fact that the chocolate sauce isn't quite smooth and drippy looking enough for me. But, like I said, are these complaints? Hell no, this is a great shot.

This is too sharp (bet you thought you'd never hear that one...huh?).
The current style of food photography rarely if ever has everything in focus. If the food image is being used to idendentify specific product such as, a spice, an herb, a fish or utensil, etc. only then is sharp focus necessary. Otherwise full dof food images went out with Betty Crocker Cookbooks in the 1970/s/80's. Cheers!

Having said that, this will probably place better than my shot.

the chocolate drip could be a little more alluring, but the rest of the shot is nicely composed. Maybe bump up colours a little.

You should have saturated the colours more, it would have brought out the red in the strawberries much more.
