 At my favorite wetlands park. Didn't actually notice how weathered the boardwalk is till I started shooting a few dragonflies. Watch them replace it with composite plasticky stuff or some such modern characterless thing. But maybe better that than being ignominiously dumped in the swamp!

Lots of texture here due to the decay and the nails aren't quite lined up anymore, and the perspective shows those aging effects pretty well. The dragonfly is a bonus but also gives it some scale.

Not a killer image but an OK one; hoping to hit 5.

PP - converted from RAW, levels, monochrome, added border, resized, sharpened with noise reduction.
