| doesn't do a whole lot for me but it looks as if you might need something larger to stop it from rolling down the hill to the left |

| Look like a souvenir photo... using some trick to make it look different could help... may be closing diafragm to minimum (F8 or similar) and shooting more close could had made the back to blur a lot given a nice effect to the same photo... just an idea. |

| Hi, you are standing when taking the picture, right ? Try to make it a special shot, by shooting from the ground or find something where you can stand on, otherwise you get shots that we all see everyday. Also the object is centered which is against the rule of thirds. Hope this was helpful. Yours, Jan |

| A slightly more interesting angle, not square on the side, with your subject would have helped here. |

| Picture needs to be leveled, if the background was entirely the old house, would be better, hopefully was something really horrid on the side where you took the picture, otherwise I would shoot it from other side showing the front of the monument. |

| if a photo isn't level, it makes it a bit hard to look at. You can rotate clockwise in photoshop, maybe 5 degrees, to fix this. As far as the rest of the photo goes, I like the composition, being in front of an important looking building gives a certain amount of importance to the site. 7 |

| composition is off. It could have been a really nice shot if you moved the cannon down in the shot and framed up the house as well. |

| i like this shot-but horizon(lawn) line is slanting, make sure in viewfinder your background is level- it will give your'e subject more focus |

| A couple of things might help this image.... first a straight roof top across the top of the image. Secondly, perhaps you could have gotten a better angle to avoid the distractions in the background. Maybe through the trees with a shallow depth of field might help. |

| If I had taken the shot, for personal choice I might have decided to be a little straight on to the subject - in order to get the background wheel within the circumference of the wheel in the foreground. And I'm trying to bite my tongue, but I have to point out that it's wonky. The house in the background, though boring, is in keeping with the period feel of the cannon, so I think it's relevant. I think more focus on the wheels might also have made it more in keeping with the challenge. Still an interesting subject though - 5 (6 if less wonky) |

| I don't like the background. What would be the background from the other side of the cannon? It's a little crooked too (picky, picky) |

| Sloping horizon is very offputting. General impression is one of a snapshot. Not really sure what you wanted to achieve with this shot. Think about how you would have improved the composition here. |

| Horizon needs straighteniing. I think a shallower DOF would lend to a more pleasing image. |
