OMG I could name the books just by the colour of the jackets LOLOL
I think your focus fell on the front lip of the bottom of the cross. Do you know how to MAKE your camera focus on the spot you want it on?? That may help you in this strange 50mm endeavour :P |

| The colors of the books are really nice and help the cross pop...maybe a little more focus work to help show off that intricate detail. |

| Kat, I love this. Not only do you have the interesting, dark cross against the beautifully colored background, you've got a visual microcosm of the witchcraft/religion bruhaha surrounding the Harry Potter books! Good one. |

| Those books behind really add a nice splash of color to this, especially with the light shining down on them. The cross seems a bit soft on the right side; I'm guessing you shot wide open? |

| Methinks the books may be Harry Potter? Ironic with the cross if that is the case! I agree about the sharpening/contrast increase to bring out the depth of the design on the cross. Gaussian blur the background maybe to make the colors meld a bit more maybe? Also, I too am hating the web conversion! It's my bane. |

I have to laugh at Judy's comment b/c that's what I've been doing for the last 5 mintues...LOL
reminded me of BIG med school books and the cross, well, that's how I got through- LOYS of religion!! :)
nice colorful image and good DOF; that look slike a very very old artifact!

| Nice work with using colorful books in the background. The DOF is very good. I would maybe lightly burn the shadows on the cross or add some contrast and sharpening. |
