My first challenge of 2008, as I haven't entered anything since last year. This challenge just so happened to coincide with a senior portrait shoot I did this week.

Post Challenge:
Well, I did have several closer crops, but went w/ this one because it showed more of the environment / train. It was her favorite image as well. In hindsight, I should have went w/ one of the closer crops for a "portrait" challenge.

Here are some of my outtakes from the challenge:

I like the bright happy model against the dark background.

Might possibly work even better if it was a full length portrait.

Beautiful young lady. I like the several contrasts and comparisons. Soft smooth warm skin, vs the hard cold rusty Iron of the engine. The wear on the jeans compares to the wear of the engine. The bright red of her blouse compared to the dull red/brown of the rust. Does the model happen to be 36? No, I didn't thinks so.

As the pretty model should be the main subject, I would have cropped it, or zoomed in, a bit to bring focus to her. It could by my monitor, but I think she could use a little more light under the bill of her cap.

I really like this shot.

Would like to have a little closer up of your model and a little less of the busy background. Still a nice shot. 7
