Submitting this on my 40th birthday (5/25)! Whoo hoo!

I believe this was made by my FIL (who passed on March 1, 2005). I saw this at my MIL's house and just felt I had to take a picture of it for this challenge. It may not be received well here, but I am happy that this turned out the way I envisioned it.

What a coll looking ship and I love the way you processed it. Kind of like a ghost ship.

Wow this one was waaaaaay underrated, it was one of my very favorites in the challenge. You took everything into account, the lighting, the subject, the angles, the composition, and managed to create a very distinct mood out of it. Seriously it made me shiver when I first saw it. It's very different from everything else that was entered. And although I figured it was a model boat because of the control over the lighting and the angle that you took it from, it could just as easily have been a scene from the Pirates of the Caribbean or something. You got a 10 from me and I'm faving it :) (haha, I guess I get a little defensive of my favorites)

also-I love that your dad made it, and happy belated birthday!

Like the shapes created by the mast lines...think they're the focus.. I missed that the first time. I'm upgrading to 7

Very nice light to show off the rigging and the deck on this detailed model.
