I like the effect and this photo has an added benefit of appearing quiet painterly. Lighting is very good and it's composed well too.

great compositipn, and a great attempt. Fishish the job of a silky water shot by finding a location without direct sun. Look how you silky water is perfect in the shadows, but your fucus returned in the light. Look for even light, without hotspots. Nice shot.

Abit more of the rocks would have helped IMHO

For the water to be truly silky, you needed to use a longer shutter speed.

Caught the right shutter speed for motion blur rather than milky waters.

There are IMHO some stronger Motion Blur images here an 8

Is it just me or does this shot appear in every challenge? Afraid I can't see much motion blur in this

Water is my favorite subject to photograph. Your composition and the lighting on the rocks are wonderful. My only suggestion would be to expose just a little longer. I don't know how long your exposure was for, but I have found in a shot like this that water look best at about 2 or more seconds. Also, I love the reflections that are in the water in the upper right-hand corner of the photo. Did you get any other closer shots and different angles? 6
