 A photo I took in my dorm room. The light source I used from my lava lamp. Uncovered the lamp for an instant so that it lighted the area behind my body which was between the light and the camera making me look like a shadow.

Hope you guys like my first submissions! :)

I think a lot of you thought that it was just a normal shadow on the wall but in fact it was not. The black figure was actually me, the real subject, I just set my camera on long shutter and flashed a light behind me so that for an instant, a black figure appeared, hence this 'shadow' effect (you can still see through the 'solid' body as I only flashed the light behind me for a fraction of a second)...

So basically since I was the actual shadow, there was no actual subject in which this 'shadow' was cast from hence the theme "out of place".

Hope this clears up some ppl's confusion...

I see the double exposure, but overall, the picture is too cluttered and confusing. The title gave me a hint on what's happening, but without it, I don't understand what's going on here. It's understandable if you were short on time and/or in a wrong place, but next time try to plan ahead. Nice attempt.

Too blury to make out what you're thyign to do. Perhaps using a single coloer of the background would have made teh shadow stand out more.
