 This is a picture of Alexandria Powerplant. It's located right on the Potomac river next to GW bike trail.


The HDR version I like much better, but I can't use it in Basic Editing

It has already been closed at least once due to pollution. Here's an excerpt from Washington Post:

"Mirant Corp. officials announced a limited reopening of their power plant in Alexandria yesterday but said they had not yet made changes to the plant to reduce pollution levels that alarmed state environmental officials and prompted closure of the plant last month."

Good composition but this suffers for lack of contrast. You can barely see the pollution.

Excellent title to set the mood. Not much to show that it is actively polluting, but the colors really set the mood.

Really nice and sharp, i love the contrast the rust adds to the otherwise green building. Pollution though, I'm not really seeing a lot of it here just a nasty old building.

The only problem I see here is that I see no pollution. The fact that you know about it's history of pollution means you know about it. But you haven't shown the viewer anything about it?

I like how you've used repetition to create interest.. the light seems to be rather dreary.. I think using a contrasty b/w conversion might have emphasied the strong structural lines and bring out the details.
