The pineapple was hollowed out. He had plenty of room to move around. I carved out a door in the back, and that is how i put him in. Not sure how this is cruel.

In the off chance that this little creature crawled into the pineapple on its own, please disregard what I'm about to say.
This looks like animal cruelty to me, and I don't condone it for any purpose, including taking a 'cute' photo. I'm not going to vote on this image, since in my opinion, it's in bad taste.
Edit to add - thanks for the explanation. Note that I started out my comment with a disclaimer. It wasn't my aim to upset or insult you. However, I'd rather risk someone's disagreement with me if I can speak on behalf of an animal. It seems, in this case it wasn't necessary.

This is definitely not Sponge Bob. Very similar to other recent shots of a rodent peeking out of food. I think without the plate, with dryer hair, and with a little more sharpness it would be better. |

I do hope there's a bigger hole in the back. Wouldn't want to think you shoved him in there through that small hole. Is he peek a booing or is he trying to escape? |

This is just funny. I almost wish that you could've cleaned the wax residue off of the leaves better. The bright yellow, with the stark black all work against the green, causing the leaves to seem muted. |

just commented on another shot that I think I need to get myself a gerbil, hamster or mouse because they seem to make GREAT subjects/models! *grin* Nice shot! |

Now how did you manage this? The yellow background is a bit too bright for me. Good shot of the rat though! |

'Who lives in a Pineapple . .' ?
Well I thought it was Sponge Bob Square Pants, not a slightly bedraggled Hamster . . ?
Nice set up and lighting but I think a lighter coloured Hamster would have shown up better.
I guess it get's a little tricky keeping taking pineapple smelling hamsters back to the pet shop, and asking if you can try a different one for an hour :- ) |
