 Here is are the wispy threads that are at the end of fresh palm spears.

I played with the channels on the BW converter until the background was black and the palm hair was white.
Perfectum and Neat Image with extra sharpening.

The white on black is stunning; I got behind on comments but had to come back for this one. This is so simple and yet so pretty.

Beautiful, Alicia! Delicate, fine abstract. With nice texture in the different sizes of the wisps. I love this one.

I like both images a lot. Wonderful exposure and contrast on the palm hair. I think I like the bokeh a little better. I do think that the bokeh could be tuned down just a notch though.

I a way, this reminds me of some of the smoke photos I've seen. I like the shapes created by the criss-crossing threads. I like this against the dark background.
