My son's dog...
---- after challenge -----

Thank you all for the comments.

I was not happy with this picture as I was a bit rushed. I actually tried to get a picture of the other dog in our family but none of them came out any where near this good. After I moved it to the website it looked washed out from the version I was editing. Also, the white background was a terrible contrast (or lack of contrast) to Spunky....

Oh well, fun dog.

Thanks again for the comments....

Nice even lighting and cute expression. I think if you would have bumped the contrast up a bit it would be even better.

Way over exposed...shame! with correct exposure and a tighter crop could have been a nicer portrait.

Classic pose and expression. A cooperative model; I'm impressed with any shot of a Beagle where the nose isn't glued to the ground! Not sure you need quite so much negative space on the left, though.

Pretty puppy dog, I find the background washes him/her out a little.

The natual coloring of beagles is so unique, I feel that they deserve something other than white behind them. Perhaps a tan slightly lighter than the ears, or a deep hunter green or a burgundy or even something outside...not snow.

Lots of beagles! Beagles rule :) I know they can be a pain to photograph since they do not want to sit still. I wish this one was looking more towards the camera to get a better glimpse of the eyes. Or at least crop some of the dead space on the left to bring more focus to all of the beag.

Some contrast would have really helped this photo out.

The flash spots could be burned and the color adjusted to make this a beauty.
