 Yesterday I met with my cooking group. The organizer plans all sorts of neat events.

This one took place at the Farms at South Mountain. It's a cooperative, which grows its own produce. There are little shops and a restaurant on the premises. Every Saturday, they have a farmer's market where you can buy amazingly good and cheap produce.

This event entailed us all bringing two or three cookbooks to show others. We all brought recipe cards and met at 10 AM. The cookbooks were laid out on two tables and you could go, grab one, leaf through and copy down any recipes you're interested in. Or talk to the owner of the book and see what s/he has made that is good.

It was sunny and cool, and we sat at picnic tables outside in a pecan grove.

At 11, lunch was brought - salads and sandwiches - all natural and very good stuff. It was an interesting bunch of people from all walks of life. I had the best time!

Next week there will be a literary luncheon, where we will all have read the same book, which we will discuss. Then we will create a lunch based on recipes and food stories in the book.

It seems as if everyone is enjoying themselves. I like how the light is falling on the table and people.

That looks like a really fun thing to do. I'm guessing that they see you taking pictures all the time and therefore you are invisible!

The photo does a nice job of showing the good time going on. I like the natural POV in this image. The event sounds like fun for people who love to cook.
