Today I spent the better part of the day with my friend, who modeled for me in my first nude photo shoot. Actually it was my first photo shoot - nude or otherwise.

Afterwards we went to lunch, and since I was in shooting mode, I whipped out ye olde camera while we were standing in line at Paradise Bakery.

The people behind the counter all got nervous, but undaunted, I kept on shooting. I figure, I can always apologize later if someone takes issue.

This guy was particularly pretty, so I took a lot of photos of him. See how he's posing and preening - he knew exactly I was focused on him.

I processed this with Lucis Wyeth, Perfectum for smoothing (yes, I know, Roz) and then converted it in Virtual Photographer using the Glamor filter.

I hate him - I think his eyebrows look better than mine lol. And what is on his ear? A scar or a weird looking earring. I really do love how this shot looks so smooth. This looks good in black and white.

Oh and I love your approach of "i can always apologize later"...I'm going to have to keep that in mind :)

You have wonderful courage. I am always very bashful at shooting strangers, hell anyone but mu closest friends. I like the photo a lot but think I would prefer it without so much glamor processing.

Great Candid Alicia, I must learn to shoot first and be asked questions later! Agree with the other commenters you should present this guy with a print and make a big thing of it - the bakery may get some business and you some extra work :)

Excellent composition and whilst I do like the post processing I'd quite like to see a straight desat as well (in a manly voice/keystroke) I reckon he has a great bone structure?

Very nice PP and the B&W is wonderful. Looks more like a painting than a photo. Great eye for the subject and the cropping is splendid.

Very nice, Alicia. He is pretty! The processing is awesome for an artsy rendition of a street scene. I love it.

great candid - there is a clear separation from the background which makes this work well.

I like how the light seems to just be floating through out the photo, very nice.

He is very pretty and I really like what you did with this shot. I should go find some of those nifty filters and things you all play with and try to be a bit more artistic! This is very nice - I like the almost metallic sheen you ended up with.

I give you a lot of credit for just taking the shots. I'm always concerned that somebody will get all irate and come and give me a hard time. Nice job on the semi-candid and processing.

I like the black and white here. This guy looks focused on the task at hand. He has a strong jaw line which is really prominent with the angle this picture was taken at. Nicely done.

I get really nervous about taking pictures in public places, so usually won't go there, but you've really managed a beauty here. Posed or no, you've captured a moment in this young man's day and life that is outstanding. And, yes, he is quite photogenic, isn't he.

(that last bit was a joke .. one of my extremely lame ones ..)
i really like this process actually .. the perfectum doesnt overwhelm at all .. your model is particular photogenic and your processing brilliant .. :)

Don't worry about Rozy, Alicia, I like this very much. I think the processing is excellent - and yes I do think he is posing and putting it on for you.

Nice "candid" shot. I read your comment. You should at least deliver a print to him for being a good model. The L A treatment worked nicely with this shot.
