Eagles are not fierce. They hunt for food like any other animal. And the peacefullness came from watching such a beautiful creature perch and stare into nothingness completely at peace.

I don't normally think of a predator like an eagle as peaceful, but this does look peaceful and the eagle is often a symbol of the defense of peace...

The yellow color above the beak is very distracting

Blurring the background immedeantly draws your attention to the subject. Shot is interseting as it wasnt taken straight on, or straight to the side, the eagles head is tilted.

I don't generally think of raptors as peaceful, but this one appears to be at the moment you captured him.

How is a zoo bird Zen? Isn't the poor thing captive and held hostage, kind of the opposite of peace?

I really don't get a feeling of peace from this; he looks like he is ready to pounce on some prey. But it is a very nice shot.

I think that an eagle is a bit dnmc. the title seems a bit forced for justify the entering in the challenge.
