Okay, Ernie, I'm one of your low scores. I didn't think it conveyed misunderstanding without the title. Which is ironic, since you're usually the DNMCer on Team Suck. :) But as a photo aside from the challenge, it's wonderful. Which is why it's going in my faves!

Congrats on a top 20, Ernie! (Or Bob, or Bruce, or Barbara - whoever you are...) This is a delightfully cute shot and you definitely connected with a good faction of the voting audience - your commenter average (along with the very good finish) tells you that. There's a bit of blue fringing around the bird (ask someone who knows better to tell you why) but the focus is dead on and the bokeh supports this well composed shot nicely.

I like the idea but I see a halo around the bird - sort of a bit of bluish tint. Love the bokeh.

The butt end of a bird. Now that is something I don't see everyday. The detail is amazing and the shallow DF is great.

Without the title this doesn't really work for the challenge, but it's funny as heck with the title. :-) Very well done in all the technical regards. I could see this on a greeting card. Good luck in the challenge.
