This is at a house in Echo Canyon where I catered a dinner yesterday. Out on one of their patios, they have this iron sculpture on a table. I was shooting the red rocks and it kept on looking at me...

Processed in any manner of ways to bring out the texture of the sculpture (light was bad), then converted to BW with channel mixer. Added contrast and such.

Overlaid with one of my sand filters:

Erased it off of the iron guy with a 40% fuzzy brush.

Oh - and I just remembered. I found this brush that does sparkles - anyway I clicked throughout the image with it and it made those yellow blobs - I sort of liked it.

This is really cool! It has a presence to it that you don't normally get with photos of statue-like things.

Your iron man could pass for stone - and it goes well with the earthy texture. Has an ancient, old civilization feel to it.

I like this a lot. The overlay textures blend so well with the subject. Nice work.

What an odd statue. If this were in my backyard, it would certainly catch me off guard now and then. With all the textures, it looks like a scene from another planet.

I agree with Deborah...I immediately thought of something out of a Star Trek episode. (The original TV series from the 60s, that is.) Your overlay places this fella in his rightful environment.

I agree. Very alien feeling. I almost feel like Captain Kirk on a forbidden planet of stone people and one of them has just discovered me. Beam me up Scottie, please.

This is very alien feeling to me. The layer of sand suits the metal sculpture perfectly.

OMG, it's scary looking- you are just too good with all those tools to make your art shine . I really do like this - the BG greens & the yellow oofs make that statue POP !

Very cool! Has a futuristic feel, like when robots take over the physical world and we humans have advanced so much that we are just floating spirits (the yellow blobs)...
