This images just POPS right off the page.....
I like the detail of the iris and lashes..... Extreme macro here, and done really well.
My only comment to say that this deserved a a higher score, and I feel it would have done so, if the little distraction, with the soft DPF at the bottom of the lashes wasn't there.
I love the the color and detail of the iris, and don't mind the reflection, but don't like the tiny white blowout on the top left of th iris. These are only very minor details, that if there weren't there, this would have been a top image, and would have scored much higher, and may have even ribboned.....
I am very impressed with this image, and you should be very pleased with it as well. |

Very nice photograph! The background color is really not matching to the subject. A black or dark brown may have worked better. |

Wow! Great reflections and detail! I love the shadows of the lashes in the iris and the bright light rays in the corner of the eye. Water droplets add interest and intensity. Very "eye" catching!! |

If not for the reflections in the eye, this would have been a perfect macro shot. Very hard to accomplish a perfect eye shot without some kind of reflection. There is a form of sensitvity here that attracted me to this image. |

reflections diminish quality. what is the gray curved image on the rt. side of the pupil? |

perhaps a slightly different angle would have prevented the camera from showing up in the photograph? |

Nice composition but the reflections in the eye I find distracting. More interested in what is being reflected than the eye. |

I'm not sure how to vote on this. Part of me says "what a cool shot", and part of me says, "What's all that goo?" |
