 Never thought I'd go out and deliberately try to photograph a bird. Left work early on Friday and drove to our local pond. There were a couple of swans, some ducks and some gulls. Out of the 200 images I took, I got three that looked more or less o.k. Hope I've picked the right one for the challenge ;-)
Again, this type of photography is WAY out of my box, so I've no high hopes for it but I had a great time photographing these guys.

Just got to your image Irene. The color tones you managed to capture is very very nice. Technically it is great. This was a tough challenge, for a challenge like this how glamorous the bird definitely makes an impact to the score.

Irene - this is a really nice shot and perhaps underated because the bird is not glamorous enough ?

But as a picture it is very nicely taken.

This is a good take with attitude,the gull seeming to see you with one eye, I liked the coloring To improve the contrast.

just a little too much noise, loosing some of the popping sharp focus effect. Otherwise nice.

Love the BG color on this. Different that what you usually see with a seagull. I also like the soft, muted feel of this image.
