My wife and I have often discussed the intelligence of fish. She's never found them to be particularly bright. But I recently discovered that my favorite betta "Chili" (AKA "R. H. Chilipepper") had a real interest in learning to read kids books. Once we discovered he was a bit nearsighted (you would be too, living in a small bowl) we got him a good pair of reading glasses and he's been devouring books ever since. His favorite? A toss up between "The Old Man And The Sea" and "Whale Song." That's one bright little betta, eh? (We've been feeding him Betta Bright for a few years now, so...) Next comes counting, but, you don't think we're pushing the little fella too fast, do you? College is still a long swim away.

You'r probably the only person who chose to fo this with a fish. I can't help but think you could have spent a little more time with the set up.

To describe this as a portrait is stretching it too far.

This just doesn't speak "Portrait" to me.
