On further 'research', this looks like it may be a Calliandra haematocephala - Red Powder Puff. In the 'mimosa' family, but not the same genus. More info below if interested:

This looks like it may be a mimosa flower, aka Silk Tree (Albizia julibrissin). Although you mention a red flower and the mimosa/silk tree has pink flowers. More info here (Dave's Garden) and here(National Park Service) and here (Duke University) and here (Garden Bits).
They have lovely flowers, which are difficult to photograph because of their delicacy - a still day, fast shutter speed and/or tripod may help you. |

What a beautiful bottle brush. Ours are different .... the bottles are longer. I'll see if I can find one over the month and post it to show you. |

If you have a cloudy day WB setting, try shooting flowers using that WB. You may have to desat a little. I usually shoot flowers under exposed a bit, then brighten up in pp. Flowers do strange things with UV light, and the camera picks up on some of it I think.
Lovely composition with the curving branch under the bloom. |
