Just bouncing around DPC and find myself revisiting this great shot. I see I gave it a 9 at the time -- would bump that up, now that the "theme" seems less important.

Maybe cropping in closer on the left side, including the tree shadow, but not the meter on the wall, might be better.
Try some LensBaby shots on carnival rides.

Very nice effect with the colours. Quintessentially hidden city too.

Interesting effect. It makes me feel like I trying to find my way home after a drunken binge.

Happy New Year jack....Nice job playing with what I am guessing was a Christmas present. This feels like I am falling through time to this alley (it made me think of the first terminator film)

Love the fact that even with the new lens you have still managed to keep the colours so vibrant throught the shot

The lensbaby works REALLY well for this - definitely adds the sense of hidden or secret. Love the effect and the color. It has that lovely late evening glow to it.

I wish I could figure mine out. You did a great job adding quite a bit of punch to go with the colors and lighting.

Yay you are back! Learning how to put a new twist on your urban shots? lol. The lensbaby is cool, but I like the light and shadow in this as well.

I'd love to get a lensbaby and try shots like this. It's so unique.

A reasonably good site.....Lensbabies don't work for me one iota; just haven't acquired a taste for the effect, may never. Good composition, lighting, and processing, though.....

When we glance at the hidden, unattractive back alleys and electric meters, out attention usually highlights just a couple of key aspects while the rest could just as easily be blurred and unnoticed. The lens baby effect imitates this well, which I appreciate somewhat to my surprise (I like many kinds of blur, but usually don't like the lens baby results).

The fact that this makes me dizzy is kinda of cool.

This is one of the first great uses of a lens baby I've seen. Very interesting!

Ohhh, this makes me sick to look at it. I dont mind the shot but I think it is not level. How did you do this effect in basic?
