This was one of my last shots of an evening sunset. I was down taking shots of Haystack Rock (as usaul). I began to photograph rocks, and splashes. I noticed these two seagull land on this rock and was able to capture this. Since it was evening it comes out a little dark and I'm sure people will have their different ideas of cropping. I wish I could of brought out the image more and brightened it up more without giving that glazed over look/vieled.
The image is representing the conflict of the Seagull fighting for life, finding and collecting food, nesting, the entire life cycle. It is representing the confict that these seagulls always have to put up with the ocean waves.
I originally started with Cat Dog shots, but they weren't very high quality or composed well, and I know how they get old quickly. Then I went with Man vs. Nature, Shed vs. Decomposing. It showed a shot of what looked like an moldy outhouse right next to a creek. And that would have been it had I not got this.

The horizon is off kilter and the seagulls don't really have much to do with the image itself because the water over take them the dark compositions swallow them the motion as well. I think its a bit dark too.

I like this idea. Maybe would've made one of the birds a little more in focus. What a nice location you are near. Great shot .

Beautiful shot, nice composition and color. It doesn't convey the message of conflict by itself.

Good, but I think the white balance is off.

Great viewpoint and very interesting shot. Foreground rock is too dark and I don't find toning to be very pleasing although I like the blue cast. Horizon is tilted and the spray hitting the gulls is too blurred and seems to stop above the level of the rocks, as if you caught it at it's tail end. I think you could have also cropped out the top inch so as to eliminate a good part of the background. Still, I like very much.

If you had kept only the top 1/3 of this shot and made it a panorama I would have given you a 8 for the challenge and a 10 outside of the challenge. As it is, a 7
