 Well - here I am. I'm 39.5 and have 6 more months till I turn 40.

I'd like to thank Mary Kay cosmetics and the makers of Photoshop for making this picture possible lol. :) My biggest fear is that voters will not think I look like a woman - yipes.

One thing I wanted to do with this was bring more focus to the eyes. I love portraits that seem to make the eyes sharp and everything else kind of fade away. Not quite totally what I envisioned, but it will have to do.

Heh! Love your comments.. And this is a very good portrait! I'd say you very much achieved your goal of focusing on the eyes - they definitely grab the viewer and pull them in - and they're gorgeous eyes, too. Very nice work!

A nice self portrait. Cool posing, actually warm posing. I bet your eyes also very beautiful in color. DOF is a bit too much for me in this photo. I would love to see your lips shining like your eyes as well :)

Not too bad... angle is very distracting especially with no foundation (neck, body, etc.)

Me, too! Well, in a year and 2 months. Beats the alternative, as they say ;-) I like the perspective; it makes it feel very much like I'm intruding on an introspective moment.

Yup hitting your 20's must be hard!! Fantastic SP, it feels like it should be on the cover of a CD for a jazz/soul singer.

Love the unusual angle and the fact that the eyes are not looking at but beyond the camera.
