The only editing was; USM/leves/B&C/curves/crop and resize. No spot editing at all.

This was shot using a Pentax - M 1:2 50mm lense reversed on the G3.

I have never looked at salt and pepper this close before. I find it very interesting. Plus are you trying to get a better vote by having the pepper corn stick its tongue out at us!?! It looks like a face sticking its tongue out if you had not noticed.Nice work

Cropping could use some work (and maybe composure). The left side is not even with the right side. I mean that the distance from the left edge of the pepper and the right side to the edge are not the same. And for the upper left corner, if the dark spot was not there it would have better balance.
