I think this is a dormant dandelion.. it has the same leaf structure only the leaves are covered in small extremely sharp spines.

The photo seems to have a watery aspect to it to my eyes, which some will likely take for blurriness due to movement of the camera or the like, but in fact this is a small portion cropped from a large image which is in sharp focus.

Regardless, I like the surreal nature of the photo. We'll see what others think!

This seems to busy, no focal point for the eyes to move toward. Lighting seems a little flat also.

This challenge has many macro shoots. Macro, due to a shorter distance from subject tends to have a shallow DOF. You need to interact with the camera to ensure no relevant piece of subject is out of focus by this issue. To do this increase your DOF.

Interesting macro shot, nice rhythm and texture.

Looks kind of slimey.

This certainly meets the âtextureâ part of the challenge, but, it could use a single point of interest to make good use of that interesting texture as background. It also looks slightly out of focus.

Abstract it may be, but I get little sense of prickliness from it, nor, to be frank, of any other texture very much. Very flat lighting, I fear.

A little out of focus, was that the intention? I think a sharper image would have brought the textures out even more

Maybe too abstract... Poor focus spoils the potential texture. The light too strong...

Sharp objects demand sharp focus.

Is it frost? It might be a little out of focus.

Ouch.
Somehow doesn't seem sharp enough (Focus I mean).

I see the texture, but the subject and composition just don't hold my interest.

This could be an interesting texture, however I wish it was a bit sharper, and it would shine if it was sidelit. Good luck.
