This really does nothing for me. They say to give comments for images you rank low, but my point is sometimes one can't find much to say - and in this case that is true.
I will have a go though ;)
The effect you have done has not helped this image, there is no feeling of texture or of the silk your title suggests, to me silk is smooth and well silky, but this is noisy funny colours and a bit messy.
I think using the camera more and photoshop less would have helped this image.
Hope it hasn't put you off submitting more!

I never have and probably never will appreciate these overprocessed psychedelic shots that have gone totaly beyond the frame work of photographic integrity.

| processing means this could be the result of anything - there could be texture in the original, or there could just be the variety of colours that have produced this patterning after playing with it. Ther isn't much impression of texture given to me here, even taking an impressionistic view of it - it feels like looking at a litho plate - very flat, with odd markings. |

| I like the colors, and I see the title, but something about the way this is shot just does not show me the texture at all. It could just as easily be a piece of wallpaper or something. It needs something to show it being more fluid and silky. |
