The curtain in my front room on a sunny day. The small flower design is actually from sunlight projected from the net curtain behind, and not a part of the actual yellow curtain material.
Photoshop as follows: elongated crop; layer/blend modes (soft light/multiply) to accentuate colours; sharpening by changing to lab mode and applying USM to lightness channel.

what a beautiful shot i think it needs to stand alone without a distracting border

the very nice thing about this is the light emphasizing the subtle designs in the curtain - however, it doesn't quite get there enough. Just a touch more exposure, or perhaps a little post processing to increase the contrast of the designs would help. Keep looking for that light :)

For some reason I can't get on board with this one. But creative idea.

nice window treatment with the daylight streaming in......I like the way you cropped it too.....long and lean....gives it much more impact!

I like the crop, color and framing, well, maybe the frame is a little too big. The only thing that is off is it looks like it's tilted to the right. The textures were captured really well. I almost did one for this challenge of a sunset coming thru my curtains and reflected off an antique mirror. It looked like stained glass. I'm glad I didn't submit it, yours is much better.

I like the strong vertical "motion" of this, but it seems to be tilted to the right ever so slightly creating a little bit of an unbalanced feeling.

I guess I'll always find a window/door shot attractive....love them. This is a good one, great color and soft light. I feel as if it's tilted...maybe my eyes. Good entry, so good luck in the challenge!!!

interesting the way the large black border plays the part of the window frame.

Yes. And the crop adds a lot.
