Well you certainly don´t fool around or waste shot´s/opportunities, hehe, congrats! Reminds me when I took my postcard and free study red ribbon winners last year only 1 minute apart and standing in the same place :) |

Thanks for posting the originals Ursula. I was expecting more heavy processing but apart from the dodge/burn on "apocalyptic vision", there's not much more than what a tinted filter would have achieved. I'm even more impressed, if that's possible! :) The originals are stand out pictures in their own right, I love the dark exposure, gives them more of a "fantasy" feel. |

Congratulations Ursula. We should go to Jasper together next year *winks*. Sure Medicine Lake is always photogenic no matter when and where we took the picture from but your shots are even more amazing.
My trip included 2300 km of driving, visiting 6 lakes, taking 1000+ pictures and climbing a glacier in a total of 4 days.

He, he, I don't live in the Rockies at the BC/Alberta border :) But I do know how to drive! :-P If I lived there, I'd have at least 58 ribbons, yeah!!!!

Medicine Lake, Alberta, in the Canadian Rockies. Medicine Lake is not too far from Jasper, on the north end of Jasper National Park, on the road to Maligne Lake. It's an interesting lake because it has a very large underground drainage system. At the time I was there, this side of the lake had water, but further down the lake there were a lot of areas with no water, more like running channels, and lots of animal tracks in the sandy soil. It was quite cold though, but beautiful. |
