I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to vote this challenge - it seems to hold a lot of gems. I note that Michelle didn't like the branches - I rather think they fit very well, they serve to show a fractured view of what one would assume (given the title) is a fractured soul. I also see you're into masking these days - a skill I need to learn, I suppose. Works well with the warmth of the leaves against the coldness of the sky. |

I really like the composition here. The color of the leaves and the complimentary lines. It all seems to work very well together. |

Love the selective masking. The black and white does add nice drama to the pic, as well as the outstretched hand to indicate despair. Too bad the branches are there - it cuts into the area where the prayer is being directed. |

I like how you have the leaves in the foreground. I can feel the persons despair. |

Very cool shot Don. The selective desat is very effective and this meets the challenge well in an OOB sort of way. |

Sorry, I feel really lame. I can't figure out which way the person is standing, nor why they appear to be on their cell phone. I like the combination of color and desaturated elements. Branch in front is distracting. |

I wish I could see where she is jumping to. Regardless, I feel like the branch in the front is distracting and you should try to bring out the shadow detail on the bridge. |
