I don't really know what a gardengoyle should be but this is an interesting interpretation. I love the serious look on his face. The black and white contrasts are really good. I like the symmetry with the plant stands on both sides of the man too.

Glad you went with the B&W. It is extremely well done and highlight the character.

Don, I did not vote in this challenge, but I recall this photo from viewing the entries. And I must say it is gripping. Nearly astounding. It has the kind of emotive and movement that is very rarely captured. I would have given you a 9, only because the Chase emblem is an unfortunate distraction. Into faves. Very, very well seen.

Nice job Don. I really like this shot. The score isn't too bad either.

Damn. That's twice in one week I've given you an 8. What are you doing?? (And I thought this could have been Ed's.) Edit - never mind. I gave the other one a 9.

Made me smile. :-) Wouldn't a "Goyle" be a girl, though? Shame the rules don't let you clone out some of the extra cruft like the power lines.

great photo - nice tonal range. interesting subject matter. the expression on the man's face really adds something. I think there's too much empty space up the top - a tighter crop leaving just some of that interesting tree at the top would have been better.
