 I haven't taken photos in two days. Last night, after a long day, while cooking dinner, the colors of the food struck me as pretty, so I whipped out ye olde camera.

This pot - which I love - has a glass lid. The large photo was taken through the lid and between the steam portions.

The small photo is obviously the whole pot. The contents are multi-grain pasta with flax, carrots, broccoli, soy beans and corn kernels.

I often make those kind of throw everything in one pot dishes. Put some pepper and parmesan on top and voila - dinner.

Here's a BW version of the steam/veggies that I'm going to try to use as a filter sometime. Feel free to do the same if you want.

I like the picture within the picture -- an interesting variation on the typical diptych.

Clever to use the steam to create DOF! Though not a "pictures of food" person, I do like the colors of this - and I bet it will make an interesting texture as well!

OMG . this is brilliant .. love the colours especially and how you've combined the two photographs ... one large and one small .. excellent processing ... that looks EXTREMELY yummy .. !!! :)
