Was this highly compressed which caused the pixelation?
10/08/2007 06:47:41 PM
This does not appear to be a portrait of 3 people.

portrait? came on!!

nope, not seeing aportrait with this shot anyway.. shoehorned into the challenge for the sake of it.. Its seems very poorly processed as well. 4

The composition and colors are good, but too much sharpening/noise.

other than a resizing issue this looks like a nice shot. Is this Torrey Pines?
10/05/2007 08:31:28 PM
Bumping up after second look - I rethought my initial preconception of a group portrait.

I don't see group portrait here.....sorry
10/05/2007 06:23:48 PM
is it supposed to be sorta distorted like that?
10/05/2007 06:10:26 PM
too much adjusting...color not very bright

It looks like Torrey Pines in San Diego. Great capture, but I don't know if it's oversharpened or what but the lines are too fractured. I wouldn't call it a portrait.

I am not too pleased with this picture. First of all, the link to the theme is razor thin. Seems like you shot a nice pic and try to squeeze it in. Second, your horizon is not horizontal, makes viewers feel very uneasy. On top of that, the pic is quite noisy, probably due to oversharping, as it is a daylight pic without an apparant need for high ISO values. (3)

Hard to get a portrait of hang gliders taking off. Quite jagged, the lines of the gliders.

Would be a wonderful photo, but for some very visible pixelation.
10/04/2007 09:46:28 AM
Is this meant to look pixilated? I think it takes away from the photo.
10/04/2007 07:49:12 AM
Not sure if this is noisy or oversharpened, but it looks stippled - almost like pointillism.

where is the potrait or the group
10/04/2007 12:12:31 AM
bizarre quality
10/03/2007 06:41:10 PM
Portrait?
10/03/2007 04:01:47 PM
points off for compression artifact
10/03/2007 12:26:18 PM
I am scoring a bit low since I think that people should be the focal point in a portrait
10/03/2007 05:12:12 AM
Looks like you saved it at a very high .jpg compression. The quality is really choppy here. Aside from that, it's not really my idea of a "group portrait." Nicely composed, though.
