It's hard to tell if you have intentional soft-focus of a little blur from camera-shake. As it shows on my monitor and texture in the sheet is gone just above her shoulder; if it were my shot I'd try to leave the folds showing (if possible) for about another six inches -- assuming I'd been smart enough to think of the shot in the first place...

Great idea. Her shoulder is a little too bright with the spotlight or flash right on that part. 4

Good idea. Wondering why the fiocus is so soft, though. I think the red hair and fair skin make for great color depth. 8 (If the focus issue is unintentional, then I should give a 7, but there is the benefit of the doubt :)

Lovely. I'd like to see this without the soft focus as well - 9. kathleenm

I love the composition and the subject but the focus is just too soft for me. Abit sharper and this would have been perfection. 7-Martin

The composition and posing on this is excellent. Great lighting and background. I think a soft focus is appropriate to the subject, but this goes too far and becomes somewhat blurry instead of pleasantly soft.

she is way out of focus, done on purpose?

long exposure? 'cause the hair is interesting it wants just a little more focus. so it could be better, but only theoretically, think you chose an impossible shot. eight.

One of the few shots where a soft focus or blur works well, I think. It gives it a very dreamy feeling. Nice colors! karmat

Nice composition, personally I find it too blurry, though I appreciate that may be deliberate. I can't make sense of how she's lying, her back looks twisted. Colours feel too strongly saturated for me.

I'm sure you've heard enough about the focus, other than that this is a very nice picture

I like this idea, I think that there is too much vacant space. To me, the purple fading into the black in nice enough. I think it would be better cropped down into a landscape. I feel the that too much dead space drowns out the beauty of your subject. I would like to see more from this shoot. Zeissman

That would be a great picture. Unfortunately, you should have brought it into sharper focus. Sorry for that.

Nice background, subject is very soft... intentional?

I get a very strange feeling about this photo. I don't know if it is the lighting or the soft focus. Nice job. Rcrawford

Elizabeth has gorgeous hair! It's a bit too blurry. Other than that, I like it.

I think this would have looked better in landscape mode. Also it is a bit blurred.

Not crazy for the blur here.
09/16/2002 07:27:00 AM
Nice photo and concept, but blurry. The blur makes the photo distracting.
09/16/2002 06:26:00 AM
whether is was diliberately or not out of focus it looks bad
09/15/2002 11:52:00 PM
focus could be better

This photo is good, but the only thing is that it is kinda blurry. I still like the photo.
