One of my favorite subjects, morning glories. Took a spray bottle outside and misted the plants behind the morning glories to get a few extra reflections, then shot away. Got some traditional shots but absolutely love the curves and backlighting in this one, the leaf and bud pointing to each other on the left while the main bud points off to the right corner of the picture, and the hint of the flower the buds will be in the purple bokeh. And I think the bokeh enhances the overall image without overwhelming the subject. It pleases me ;-)
I think the thumbnail will be boring and there will be a million other flower shots so this isn't going to score tremendously well. Also could have used a smidge more DOF to get the bud sharper (since this is Basic I can't "fix" it).

Mary!!! Wow! This is an absolutely beautiful photo. Incredibly underrated which so surprises me because it is technically flawless, and so amazingly striking in color and composition! 10!!!!!

| nice detail and good color and contrast - there isn't an area of focus that stands out because that pesky large clump is out of focus - otherwise very nice style |
