nice photo

would have been more effective without her jewelry and if you saw less of her mouth

Simply the best one here. Superb lighting.

What can I say :-) Beautiful way to catch the human shape and meet the challenge at the same time....so perfect has to have a 10...hokie

We might have another winner here. I see a speck that shouldn't be there. Woops, that's just dust on my monitor. All that gorgeous black shows that I need to clean my monitor. Fantastic job.

Very nicely lit, and I may say a very nice choice of subjects!
09/22/2002 11:13:00 AM
Here I do like the black background, unlike most other pictures I see in this challenge. Here it works because the body is also black, leaving the contours of light to paint the lady.
09/22/2002 05:42:00 AM
Very nice subject and negative space. 9
09/21/2002 02:48:00 PM
nope
09/21/2002 01:51:00 PM
she's beautiful!
09/21/2002 11:18:00 AM
I like the way she almost becomes one with the darkness. Almost as if she didn't exsist. Great shot!
09/21/2002 08:01:00 AM
I like the way the highlights define the shape rather than any actual detail in the nude herself. However with such low light, I find the head area and the hair a little confusing and not as clean and smooth as the rest.

well lit, and shot- Almost feels like it should be black & white.

09/21/2002 12:42:00 AM
Very good control of the lighting. 8
09/20/2002 07:48:00 PM
Too dark. ;) Just kidding. I like how the light highlights the curves.
09/20/2002 03:04:00 PM
Nice job! At first, I thought this was black and white, but closer view shows her red hair. Nicely coy pose with great shadows. Not understanding the negative space, but I'm not grading on the challenge this week, so it's O.K. 9 Swash
09/20/2002 09:17:00 AM
bravo, you may have a winner here
09/20/2002 08:16:00 AM
Nicely lit! The blackness seems warm and envelopes the model cozily. Everything about this negative space suggests woman. 8
09/20/2002 07:39:00 AM
Great shot. The lighting is superb.
09/20/2002 07:34:00 AM
Absolutely beautiful. 8 kathleenm

When I look at this photo it basically says "lithe". It's very sexy and atmospheric, and DEFINITELY a great use of negative space to define those curves. Very beautiful.
09/20/2002 03:53:00 AM
Very nice. Just the right amount of light. You shows you a glimpse of the body without showing too much and becoming just another glamour shot. 9-Martin

one of my tops pics this week (nice necklace, too) - 9
09/19/2002 07:49:00 PM
great lighting on both sides
09/19/2002 05:31:00 AM
very tasteful and pleasing image - love the almost abstract quality. Excellent interplay of contrasting b & w with a hint of red. I actually think the thumbnail version is appealing in its own right because it is even more abstract - almost like a pen and inksketch, whereas the discernible detail in the full-size image creates a very different effect.
09/18/2002 10:07:00 PM
Good lighting on your model. 6
09/18/2002 08:00:00 PM
This is a wonderful sculpture of life. I hope you do well.
09/18/2002 04:15:00 PM
dude! this 'i know a hot nude chick so i win every challenge' thing is getting out of hand.
09/18/2002 01:41:00 PM
I really like the play of dark adn light, here. Very tastefully done, I think karmat
09/18/2002 11:28:00 AM
what's her number??? ;-}
09/18/2002 10:33:00 AM
Very nice lightwork! This really uses nagative space very well. 8 Jak
09/17/2002 02:45:00 PM
Oh wow totally naked and you made the challenge...impressive!!
09/17/2002 11:31:00 AM
I'm sure you'll take some heat this week but this is a super shot that certainly meets the challenge. I think it is beautifu and sensuous. Great job.
09/17/2002 11:13:00 AM
Very nice... The lighting is working very well here... I think your model's red hair is a nice touch, but i would also love to see this one in black and white... good job = 10 - jmsetzler
09/17/2002 10:11:00 AM
Hmmmmmm........looks familiar.....Is this the same model from Forbidden Fruit? Beautiful!! I think I see another nude first place coming up. =10 syamjonimi
09/17/2002 09:52:00 AM
great photo- though no space!
09/17/2002 06:36:00 AM
great, my only complaint is her mouth is at an unappealing angle with her back cheek lighting up.
09/17/2002 05:16:00 AM
is that you john ?

Wonderful image of a nude. The lighting is remarkable. I shoot mostly nudes too and I really appreciate a great image such as this. Tons of meaningful negative space as well.
09/16/2002 07:52:00 PM
good form, very well done. This gets my hjighest vote of 213 entries. great!
09/16/2002 07:41:00 PM
excellent use of light. I am sure some will hate this photo, but I think it is well done. congrats. cmcvety.
09/16/2002 05:44:00 PM
OK, you got me. This is one nude I really like. Excellent use of light/dark
09/16/2002 04:41:00 PM
this is beautifully balanced shot. and great use of negative space to create the "wow" in this image. the composition works well here... however, when i look at this i think it may have worked even better as a 427x640 image. (10) ~mcmurma
(revised. also feel this image may have been even stronger as a black and white.)
09/16/2002 03:36:00 PM
nice job, i think you are the first to actually have a fully nude person, however, you did it tastefully.
09/16/2002 03:31:00 PM
first of all, congrats for trying something different. we need more of this on this site. i love erotic photography and i know how hard it is to do it right. that said, great job. i would be more careful with her face, though. the hair is a bit messy too. see u next time. :)
09/16/2002 12:59:00 PM
Nice - what happens if you crop her head as wel as her feet and make her more abstract?
09/16/2002 12:00:00 PM
Beautiful job! I want to know what lights you used. itsbygrayce@yahoo.com Good luck in the challenge. Grayce aka Gracious
09/16/2002 08:39:00 AM
ok, so we are going to see a nude on the front page 2 weeks running? what is this site coming to?! j/k. this photo is absolutely stunning and leaves everyone in the dust. perfect use of negative space, and perfect execution (revealing just the right amount of detail), plus beautiful model. -- gr8photos (10)
09/16/2002 07:49:00 AM
Great shot; the only thing that keeps it from being perfect for me is that I would have preferred to see her "head to toe". That being said, I realize that the distance created by doing that may not have given the shot as much impact. lhall-9
09/16/2002 07:20:00 AM
Not as much negative space as I would have expected for this challenge, but a very good photo. I like concept of a silhouette, yet highlighted.
