Gordon's London Gin (green bottle), Schweppes slimline tonic. Tried all sorts of compositions - did not like any of them. Then I tried a close crop, focusing on colour, shape and texture, the splash bubbles are real, saw the trefoil backlit in the centre and thought it warranted a submission. We'll see.
Subjects were backlit using a mini softlight.
EF 28-135mm zoom at 28mm.
Processed using C1 1.3 and Adobe Photoshop CS. Colour corrected, exposure compensation, increased saturation, USM, cropped, assymetrical size reduction to "improve" aspect ratio(it was too square). All within basic rules so far. Spot edited two reflections on glass front, one pink, one blue, which were distracting.

Nice use of reflections. I'm not all that crazy about the bright green background. |
