With all the controversy about the challenge description and people being on butterfly/flower overload I will be quite happy with a 5! I was not upside down (I am not coordinated enough to risk my equipment in that position) but I crouched down under the bush to get the underside of the butterfly looking up at him from a slight angle. It's a different perspective from what I usually try to get with butterflies, anyway. Could have used a little more DOF but too late now.
PP - converted from RAW, rotated left to get an angle I liked better, cropped, increased saturation on red/yellow/orange range, levels, decreased saturation on green range and shifted slightly bluer, USM, added border, resized, sharpened with noise reduction |

A beautiful dreamy capture :)
The tones and subtleness of the colors is excellent. A pleasing image which looks like it was taken on an overcast day? |

Mary, congrats on your top 20! I was one of your high scores on this - I think it's absolutely lovely with great colors and bokeh. |

Awesome colors here - very, very appealing palette. Your focus & dof is excellent & the bokeh of that lens you're using is absolutely dreamy! I really enjoy the repeating triangular theme & how the composition is divided by it.
