WOW thanks everyone. This is a PB for me and I was really hoping to go for a top 3. All week I was at a 6.458 and today I was dropping and dropping. Seconds before the challenge ended I was at a 6.3972 then with the 20% non voters I dropped to 6th place which is still OUTSTANDING for me. I am super excited. Thank you everyone for your votes and comments.

BTW this was my youngest son hunter. Here are some of the outtakes from this shoot.

I really would have liked to have seen this one win a ribbon.....
It is "SO EMOTIVE", and so moving without words.....
I am also pleaed you scored a personal best, with this fine image..... Adding it to my favorites.....

Hey!!! It's nice to see Hunter is earning his keep around there ;) Wonderful image. I'm sad to say I didn't view or vote in this challenge (or any others lately). But this is absolutely heart wrenching, wonderful PP, and just eye catching! Congratulations on the wonderful finish!

Great picture, great score, and great finish Joe. Don't know why you received a 2 and some 3's. Maybe a disgruntled voter who ran way from home as a child, or was sucha horrible parent to have kids run away from them. None the less, great job!

nice shot. b&w works here.
story is too much "not belieavable" though..a human bare footed kid in the middle of the highway?..IMO it could have worked better a diagonal composition having him walk on the side.
