This is Ch. Hallmark Jolei Calendar Girl, affectionately known as "Callie". She is a Shih Tzu, and a little over 12 months old here (and already a champion!).

The selective focus (short depth-of-field) was intentional, since I wanted to emphasize her in this shot.

I think this is my first time entering a challenge where I didn't take the picture with the intention of entering a challenge, or even with the challenge in mind at all. But after going through the pictures I took this day, I thought this was a great "point of view" shot, since it was not only an interesting camera point of view (at least in my opinion), it also showed the "point of view" of Callie contemplating herself in the mirror.

Another shot that should have scores much better if the damn cat-hating, dog-hating trolls could take a chill pill. Excellent shot. Keep up the good work.

Good depth of field. It's beautiful that only the image in the mirror is sharp ... it really focuses on the issue at hand ... the unique beauty of this royal dog (Lhasa?). Well done!

Gives me, the viewer, a unique pov. (If I did this to my dog, the only shot I'd get is of her chewing the bow!) Perhaps a bit too much blurry dog because it distracts me from the part that's unique.
