Comment from photographer: Thanks for all your comments. They are very helpful and I appreciate the time you took to make them. I do have a surprise for some of you -- there are no real pears in the photo. They are all glass or ceramic. The one on the right that looks real is made by an artist in England. Even up close you can't tell that it is fake. |

Nice to see a different take on the challenge. I think maybe you could have done a little more with the arrangement so that we could see more of these pears. Great collection though! - floyd |

Great idea to do glass fruit...very original. What I see as a problem here is over exposure, resulting in some blown out areas. Good luck in the challenge. Grayce aka Gracious |

Neat concept. I like the presence of the real pear. It adds humor to the shot. The overblown window in the back is quite bright and I think it is TOO much. We see your reflection in the red pear -- was that intentional? 5, just-married |

What an amazing collection! I like this unique idea, but really would have like to have seen the "real" pear or pears placed more prominently in amongst the collection. The glare on the tall yellow pear detracts from the otherwise soft feel of the photo. lhall-7 |

I'm not too keen on the harsh back-lighting here. And the picture seems a bit too cluttered. |

Nice collection of glass pears. Background is way blown out. Foreground objects are cluttered. Looks like it took two people to take this shot from the reflection in the clear/green glass pear on the right (hint, hint) 7 Swash |

now there's a different twist on fruit. you are quite a collector, and have some really nice pieces there. the light coming in through the window at the back is too bright for my liking, and draws the eye too much. i can also see you in the reflections, espeically in the red pear on the left. that's a hard one to control. -- gr8photos. |

I had to really look for the fresh fruit. |

Interesting take on the challenge. The yellow glass object in the back draws me away from the subjects in front however. |

Nice idea. Good to see something different. I think that the light from behind is a bit too bright though, it might have been better against a plain background. |
