 I was playing around with several different ideas, I was wanting to get something that was fairly normal, like a tree, and make it look cool with a different perspective. Adjusted levels and increased the contrast. I also added a little bit more red into the saturation.

Base of the tree is too out of focus and it would be better with a blue sky.

Pointing the camera up a tree doesn't strike me as interesting or requiring much imagination, as evidenced by the number of people who chose to do it for this challenge. At least shooting at a different time of day that offered a more interesting quality of light might have helped. Sorry, 2.

I know trees are alive, and some people even believe they think - but a tree with a face? Great perspective, great choice of tree.

Composition draws my eye in. The cut off limb on the left distracts me a bit as does the fuzzy lower part of the tree.

I really gave this shot some thought, after studying the composition of this shot it really is interesting , the angle was very appropriate for the challenge. It almost looks like it has a face about mid-way up the trunk of the tree. I like this, it is definitely an interesting approach to this challenge 8
