Shot of the hinge on my leatherman tool, the little round bit measures about 4mm in diameter - used 68mm of macro extension tube. Post process included unsharp mask & 2 adjustment layers of hue & sat to get b&w.

you have a really fine DOF here. Looks like a bolt head or mounting knob on a bicycle?

Ok well I'm stumped, but I love the B&W conversion and the DOF is awesome. Nice work. 8

Good aplication of the rule of thirds. Some thing i'm noticeing in this challenge is people over useing DOF in the macro. Unfortunatly it detracts from you image. nice other wise 5

Great dof and textures here... nicely composed and a great range from blacks to whites. As to what it is? Some kind of metal piece to hold something together? Great shot!

Its a screw sort of thing attaching a piece of metal to something else for some reason but it looks really nice in macro and B&W

Very good DOF and composition here. No idea what it is other than something metal, probably a part of a tool or machine. That looks like a knob that can turn.

I very much like the composition here, cutting off the little bit of edge at the bottom works well (for me). I like all the soft greys. ~8
