This is a little waterfall around Smoky Mountain National Park in Tennessee. It was such a wonderful serene spot. Thanks for all the high votes and good comments.

Wow, the overall richness of this photo is staggering. Usually photos taken in the forest like this look completely flat and busy, but this has really captured a sense of depth.

managed the shutter speed and exposure very well. But i find the rock on the bottom right corner as disturbing.

The sharpness of the mosses contrasted with the smoothness of the falls make this pleasing to me (and I'm not a fan of waterfalls in general). But what gives it the "quietude" is the branch in the foreground. Kinda zenlike.

This reminds me of a Neil Shapiro, but I suspect it is not. Take it as a compliment though - this is a fantastic image. Love the color!
