 First I submitted a completely unedited photograph, only to unsubmit it and enter this one at the last minute.

As far as the setup, two pieces of posterboard were used as the background, the room was dark and a light was set up left of frame shining a bit on the front of the glass.

First I rotated the entire photo 1 degree counterclockwise and then cropped the edges slightly.

Then I used the channel mixer to desaturate and darken the reds (which in the final image then turned black) and used the healing brush tool to take out an ugly reflection on the glass.

A couple of tiny spots of cloning to clean up the background and a hot pixel, and added the black border to finish.

Wow. I'm not sure I can do anymore fruit in glasses here, or Glasses w/contrasting backdrops. It's an ok photo, but on ideas that have won ribbons.

There is also something funny about the lower left part...white background. What is that?????

Nice variation, love the bubbles! A couple nitpicks: The white is rather blotchy, in particular at the bottom left. The black/white division is not straight down the middle (and that hurst the picture). There is a grayish "glow" around the glass in the black area. The focus seems to be a bit off.

This is a good shot, catchy title, the color selection was good, the contrast and ligting is good also, the only thing I would have tried for is a more vivd color in the lemons otherwise a great shot 8

Please try again ... the balck and white are not straight ... and they do nothing for this picture ... try using just one color like white :)

Nice still life, this is commonly done, but I like what is inside the glass, the bubbles are very well done, with the color of the lemon being a beautiful addition! Nicely done.
