Very nice shot, and interesting tree but unfortunately oversharpened by a lot, |

Very nice tones, but this image appears way over sharpened. Uninspiring. |

Really beatiful image. I really love the choice of B&W of this image, it was a great choice. |

Spectacular subject, good choice of black and white for the purpose, reasonable vertical composition.
I would wish for a marginally increased focal length (or distance to the dead tree) to allow for a slightly wider crop, especially at the top of the image and to the left of the foreground fir.
The horizon, also, runs quite centrally. Inclusion of, proportionately, more sky would, IMO, make for a more pleasing and expansive composition.
Overall, the photo reveals excessive contrast (proliferated in the foreground grass and along the limbs of tree), due, perhaps, to over-sharpening. Given the nature of this image, it makes good sense to me to want to draw attention to texture. Excessive contrast, as evidenced here, leads to blown out highlights and loss of detail.
Nevertheless an interesting photo and, IMO, one worth re-shooting, possibly via a gamut of exposures. |

Very lovely. Great lighting and tonal range in your shot. I love shots of trees and find this one very appealing. Has the feel of an "older" photograph. |

First, what a must choice to have it in B / W.
This shot shows clearly how a great photographer can take every day things and make them look spectacular. What a greeat job .:10:. |

That is one cool looking tree. I love subjects like that. Too bad the main subject is so centered. The "rule of thirds" would work wonders here. I would suggest a re-crop or re-shoot if possible. |

Cool old tree. The b/w works nicely to bring out the lines of the tree from the landscape. 8 -danny |

Maybe I would have put the tree more off centre but a great idea. |

This does resemble 'those' trees. Works well with the black/white. Good job! |

This has an amazing Ansel Adams feel to it (one of my favorite photographers). But the sky looks like it's suffering from excess compression. I wanted to rate it higher, though. |

Nice find! Although I understand why you cropped it the way you did to keep the entire bush on the left side, I think I would have cropped it a bit differently. Either more centered or more off center. A very nice capture |

This is a cross between Ansel Adams and Charlie Brown. (just a joke)
I like the charactor of the tree and the black/white was a perfect choice for this.
The tones are great and the grass brings the attention to the tree. It really is good. |
