 I was chatting to this lady in a care home and she confided that she was quite wistful about her age. She had a loudly whistling hearing aid which she felt very embarassed about and she was conscious that it was annoying other residents. She was very philosophical however and I just grabbed a couple of shots as she looked distant with slightly saddened, moist eyes – despite the smile in her mouth.

She ticked me off afterwards (in a very charming, gentle way) when she realised that I'd snapped her.

Reminds me of my Green and Pleasant Land, in many ways. Time flies. Very moving (for me at least) photo.

A very haunting image of a face that has seen the ages. Beautiful convesion and you can almost feel the texture of her skin. Such a look of sadness in her eyes

A very lovely lady with a lot of stories to tell, I'm sure. She has gentle but caring eyes. I really like this in B&W and love the detail on her sweater for some reason. A nice candid portrait (yes, there is such a thing.)
